The researcher prepared 1 set of ten (10) multilingual signs of words and/or phrases each week based on a particular category. The signs were presented in four (4) translations: 1) English, 2) Filipino, 3) Ilocano and 4) Pangasinan. The study lasted a period of one (1) month i.e., from November 1, 2017 to November 30, 2017 within which the researcher posted the signs made on conspicuous places within the library. A new set of multilingual signs were posted each week based on the following categories: Week 1 – Greetings Week 2 – Numbers or counting Week 3 – Animals Week 4 – Vegetables The translations of the words were gathered from the English-Filipino dictionary and from native speakers of the language in the library or faculty members. The signs were created in the computer using the following format: short size coupon bond using 14 pts Arial font with black colored ink. The signs were then printed out and pasted on colored paper and posted on conspicuous areas in the library. The signs from the previous weeks were collected and kept in a folder. On December 1, 2017, the prepared questionnaire was administered to the respondents. The responses were tallied, tabulated and analyzed.
